Shoe Tea Party

This installation contained pairs of shoes which dealt with the reality and the fantasy world. The shoe representing reality was black and contained objects of penitence. The fantasy shoe was more colourful and unpredictable. In ancient China a dainty cup was often placed in the heel of a lady's shoe and incorporated into male drinking rituals.

The Shoe Tea Party Installation combined the representation of the reality and fantasy with the tea ceremonies of China.
